Extension Education (ESTE)

Requirements for a Microcertificate in Extension Education

Students will complete 9 hours of coursework to earn a Microcertificate in Extension Education. The courses may be taken in any order and in any semester of the student's graduate degree program. The microcertificate may also be earned by non-degree-seeking students, who may also take the courses in any order.

A three-credit-hour practicum/internship should involve approximately 120-130 hours of work with the partner. The practicum/internship need not be completed in a single semester, although that is acceptable. At the end of the final semester of the practicum/internship, students must present a written and oral report of the work performed and lessons learned.
