  1. CSCE 5013-Sec. 002. Introduction to Deep Learning; Prof. Ngan Le. The course will discuss fundamental of Deep learning and its applications in various domains. The course starts with basic multi layer perceptron and then move towards to other complicated models. The course includes the following topics: Perceptron / multi layer perceptron, Training a neural network, Back propagation, Optimization, CNNs, RNNs, Attention Model, Boltzmann Machine, Generative Adversarial Network, Meta Learning, Meta Learning, Reinforcement. The goal of the class is for students to understand the fundamental of Deep learning and its applications in computer vision and natural language understanding. The course provides required steps for building deep learning models. The students are also encouraged to learn independently with original idea through group projects.
